Bread Pudding?

Although the name can turn some people off, this is one delicious dessert! I learned something new recently about where bread pudding got it's name. Apparently as early as the 11th century, cooks collected leftovers and scraps of bread in a huge bowl they called the pudding bowl. In an effort to use everything and not waste the old bread, they would then wet it down (typically with water), squeeze it out, and then add the sugar, etc. The name came from the scraps of bread in the pudding bowl!

I have to admit that the ones we are going to offer are a lot more fun and better tasting than just wet bread with sugar on top! For November we will have Pumpkin Sweet Potato Bread Pudding with Praline Glaze... and it is delicious! Give it a try!!!
